Step 1: Let’s start by prepping the hair. You’ll want to start with a light mist of hairspray over your hair to provide some grip – our Session Styling Flexible Hold Hairspray is perfect as it is completely brushable without creating static. Once the hair is ready, you’ll want to secure your hair into a low ponytail. Feel free to mist some more hairspray to the pony, to tame any flyaways and provide hold if you’re after a sleek look, or to keep the style in place if your hair is curly.
Step 2: Now it’s time to build out the bun. Start by taking a small section of the ponytail and using a pea size amount our Session Styling Define & Hold Finishing Cream, and work it into the section to provide further texture and hold. Now you’ll want to twist the hair so you have a spiral and then wrap it around the base of the ponytail where to hairband is and secure with a bobby pin.
Step 3: Continue the above process until every section of the ponytail has been wrapped around and secured to build out the bun. To add some dimension pull out small sections and secure in different places to allow some of the hair to stick out of the bun slightly.
Step 4: Time for finishing touches. Have a play with the front of your hair if you have a fringe to ensure it is sitting nicely, or pull out some pieces if you want to frame your face. Then finish with another misting of our Flexible Hold Hairspray to hold the style in place and provide humidity protection.
